Senza fretta - No hurry

Forse perchè, sfortunatamente, i primi giorni di ospedale sono stati molto intensi, con una raffica di aggiornamenti medici, adesso troviamo questa attesa particolarmente lunga.
La buona notizia è che Arnau continua la sua routine, continua a mangiare come un campione e dormire quasi sempre sereno, soprattutto quando ci siamo noi. La ferita sul cranio sta migliorando, anche se non c'è ancora una data per la rimozione dei punti.
Quanto al resto però bisognerà aspettare giorni, settimane. Siamo pronti a passare Natale e Fine Anno in compagnia di medici e infermiere, porteremo qualcosa di buono per festeggiare anche con loro.
Continuano i controlli giornalieri, le ecografie, le analisi, gli studi delle cause.
Leggeri miglioramenti, ma non ancora abbastanza per escludere una ulteriore operazione.
Non rimane che aspettare e fare del nostro meglio per stare vicini ad Arnau e dargli affetto, compagnia e latte (la mamma sta facendo un grandissimo lavoro!)
Lunedì prossimo, riunione interdisciplinare di tutti i medici che studiano il caso, non vediamo l'ora di sapere se avranno novità.
Nei prossimi giorni aggiungeremo qualche foto nuova, Arnau adesso ha un ottimo colore! Sono lontani i giorni dell'emoglobina a 4 (invece di valori normali da 10 a 14) che tanto spaventò i medici.

Maybe because the first few days in the hospital, unfortunately, were so intense and full of medical updates, we find these days particularly long.
The good news is that Arnau continues to eat like a champion, and to sleep very relaxed, in particular when we are around.
The wound in the skull continues to heal, even if there is no date yet for the removal of the stitches.
For everything else, though, we'll have to wait days, weeks. We're ready to spend Christmas and New Year's with doctors and nurses, we'll bring something good to eat, to celebrate with them as well.
The daily checks and ultrasound scans continue.
Slight and steady improvements so far, even if not enough yet to exclude another surgery.
The best thing we can do right now is to do our best to spend time with Arnau, give him love, good company and milk (mom is doing an amazing job!)
Next Monday, cross functional meeting among all the doctors studying Arnau's case: we look forward to any new discovery or update.
Over the next days, we'll post some new pictures. Arnau has now a great skin color! Long gone are the days where Arnau's hemoglobin at 4 (instead of an expected 10 to 14) scared the doctors.
